Thomas Rost appointed new associate dean
Thomas Rost, professor and chair in Plant Biology, was appointed associate
dean in the Division of Biological Sciences in October 1996. His primary
responsibility is to lead the division's Undergraduate Academic Programs
unit, which oversees and coordinates academic matters for over 3,500 undergraduates
in eight biology majors. Rost brings to his new position a distinguished
record of research, teaching, and service. He succeeds Mark Sanders, who
returned to full-time teaching in the Section of Molecular and Cellular
Biology.
