The mission of the College of Biological Sciences is to develop and deliver undergraduate programs in the biological sciences of the highest possible quality; to contribute significantly to graduate and postdoctoral education in the biological sciences by participating in graduate academic programs and administration; to provide an environment for faculty members and students to do original and creative research in the biological sciences of the highest quality; and to provide service to the campus, the state of California, and the nation through committee service, outreach, and scientific leadership.
